The San Diego AYF conference is one of the most competitive in the county raking 3rd in the nation and almost twice the size of Pop Warner. AYF will hold “pro Bowl “games as well as East verses West games held in Florida. So you will find some times leagues that cannot compete at this level will move to a place where they can be, “Pop Warner” It is for this reason and this reason only. For some winning IS EVERY THING. Sorry to see Santee go!

Our Philosophy
Welcome to Granite Hills Eagles American Youth Football and Cheer!
First, we would like to say that if you are thinking of joining our program for the sole intentions of winning, you are at the wrong site! Here at GHE AYF, our core focus is unlocking your child’s inner potential and coaching the basics, all while having FUN, well before we think about winning. All of our 2012 head coaches are currently coaching at the high school level and/or have many years of youth football coaching experience (NO MORE DADDY COACHES). In most cases these coaches have played through the college level. Our focus is on retaining a highly skilled coaching staff not only in the technique of teaching football, but also in life lessons. Although we don’t place our wins before teaching and fun, I must mention that in our debut season, we had one team go to the playoffs and play against leagues that have been around for forty years!
At GHE AYF we have an extremely high level of discipline while choosing the person/coach that will be responsible for mentoring and molding your children for the future. We believe that you CANNOT teach winning without truly understanding the game and how much fun it can be!
2011 was our debut season and we registered over 150 players with 99% having already reserved a spot for our upcoming 2012 season. We didn’t exactly do well in the wins and loss columns, but I quote “I am so glad we moved to your league, as my son has been playing for four years and he has learned more in one season than all his past combined, Eagles for life!”
Our home game and practice field is Granite Hills High School for our fall season. One of the advantages to local High Schools is the American Youth football has unlimited weight classes from, Mitey Mite through Midget making incoming freshmen much larger and more skilled!
American Youth Football and Cheer is the largest youth organization in the WORLD. San Diego AYF has a very competitive Conference taking 1st place in Florida winning the 2011 Pacific Region title. SDAYF has twenty-three leagues, well over double the participation of the San Diego Pop Warner Conference.
AYF Conference believes it all starts with the coaching staff and the level of training they must endure to participate in the AYF Eagles League. The Granite Hills Eagles AYF will follow these guidelines to the letter to insure our staff meets the American Youth Football League standards. If you plan on volunteering as a coach for the Granite Hills Eagle’s Youth Football League be prepared to get extensive training. This will insure that our kids have fun and meet there maximum capacity, getting them ready for what’s in store later on in life.
Also, if your intention is to have your child go to Granite Hills High School, this is the place for him or her, as we mentor and teach these youngsters to prepare them for what lies ahead in high school football and cheer at Granite Hills High School.
